Last night my little angel crossed the Rainbow Bridge. I called her my "Poo-Pie" & "Boo Boo" dog, she was truly a Blessing in my life.

I have had Brittany’s for 20 years, I have had many dogs in my life and have loved them all, but "Mae Mae" was that "Special One In A Million", she was my Heart and Soul. She was my constant companion. I loved her more than life itself.

She passed peacefully in her sleep in her own bed last night. I was able to spend the last hours of her life with her in my arms.

I have many fond memories of her, but wish I could have had many more. She was my Hockey dog, she loved to watch hockey games with me, I’d yell at the TV and she would bark at it, sometimes even before I made my comments about the refereeing. She’d "High Five" you after every Colorado Avalanche goal. She would bark twice if you told her to say "Go Av’s"

She was an awesome hunting dog, a natural retriever, she’d bring you anything you asked for, from birds to the remote control and telephone.

She loved to ride in the drift boat with us when we floated the river; she got to kiss the fish we caught before we released them back to the river.

She loved her toys and would carry as many of them as she could to bed with her every night. In the winter she would be on the bed under the covers with me keeping my feet warm.

She is happy now, and pain free. She is with God and her four footed family and all of her Brittany and non-Brittany four legged buddies on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. I will grieve and cry for her all the rest of my days until I can see her again.

I Love you baby girl and I am so sorry I couldn’t make everything better. I miss you and I always will.
